Fleshquake - publication

2020

Fleshquake is a research about freedom of movement, beauty idealizations, and critical society that stems from the aspiration to challenge and question Western notions of beauty, normality, and decency. Its publication was realized to shed light on these topics from the point of view of the participating performers in the video project of the same name: Saskia Wieser, Federica Dalla Pozza, and Alkis Barbas.

Developed by Greta Desirèe Facchinato and Raquel Sánchez Gálvez together with Silvia Sandri (costume designer), Valentino Russo (sound composer and video editing), Alberto Omiste (photography director), and three performers with different dance and performance backgrounds - Federica Dalla Pozza, Alkis Barbas and Saskia Wieser.

Editorial design: Greta Desirèe Facchinato. Publisher: Self-managed. Authors/Editors: Greta Desirèe Facchinato and Raquel Sánchez Gálvez. Photography: Raquel Sánchez Gálvez. Printing: Printing house Raddraaier. Generously supported by De School Amsterdam, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, and Biovegan (DE).
