Color is Alive - Research (2021)

Exhibited at Grafische Werkplaats Den Haag from 27th November 2021 to 20th February 2022

A research into natural ink making for screen printing techniques on paper and textile. “Color is Alive” invites to look into colors as a series of living bodies, not meant to be here forever. It aims to find sustainable solutions to synthetic ink by redescovering the potentiality of natural color.

“It means thinking about colors as close to us, as alive as us. With their own destiny and purpose, and an end too. It is thinking colors as elements more close to our bodies then what we usually think they are. This is an aspect that is very present in my practice” – says Greta – “the observation of the relationship between interiority and exteriority, through the senses. Once again, starting from my body, looking into another one: Color.”

This research was made possible by Gemeente Den Haag and in collaboration with Grafische Werkplaats Den Haag.
